How to report
- Identify vehicles that emit visible exhaust for more than 10 seconds.
- Record the license plate number, time, and location of your smoking vehicle sighting. For buses, also record the bus company name and vehicle number.
- Report the smoking vehicle by phone: 1-800-EXHAUST (394-2878), e-mail: exhaust@baaqmd.gov, or online: www.800exhaust.org.
- The Air District will contact the owner to let them know about the various assistance programs available to them.
